The Arts Barn is a new community arts initiative at Kariong on the Central Coast NSW, intended to be an accessible HUB for community Arts on the Coast. It will host arts based workshops, exhibitions, and performance, once the outdoor performance space is completed.
The Arts Barn will be a great place for artists and community groups to gather, exchange ideas, and collaborate on projects, for community celebrations, regular meetings or small conferences.
Thinking of exhibiting your work? We hope to be able to showcase some of the diverse and amazing artistic talent of local artists in a very accessible venue.
The Arts Barn has a great space for holding workshops, which could include painting, sculpture, mosaic, stained glass, or music and performance workshops, both inside and eventually outside in the "Arts Garden"
The Arts Barn has plans to develop a very unique outside performance area, which will be incorporated into the "Arts Garden". Plans include a covered stage, theatrical lighting, tipi space and outdoor projection screen.
The Arts Barn will endeavour to become a model of environmental sustainability . As well as incorporating renewable energy, recycling and water collection, the facility will be developed using recycled materials, native bush tucker plants and utilising environmental building practices, wherever possible.
The Arts Barn is a blank canvas for our creative community, a chance for all of us to help create a beautiful place to be in, and to share. Get involved, unleash your creativity and have some fun.
